Make a Circus Show

Cirque du Ciel is bringing all the children together from their project across Cornwall and also beginners to take part in creating a circus show.This is an opportunity to swap skills, make new friends and tell Cirque du Ciel what you want to see running in the future.

This is a great opportunity for children in Cornwall to get together and also to give Cirque du Ciel feedback on what they are getting right and what they want for the future. CdC will also be presenting 5 children with Cirque du Ciel Full Awards.

It is a chance for children to have fun and be active. This has been funded by The Healthy Living Iniative .

Come and meet other children from other projects, show your skills, be in a fantastic show and tell Cirque du Ciel ideas for the future. Children are welcome at any skill level from complete beginner – advanced. It is aimed at 8-15 year olds but 5-7 are welcome with an adult.  There are limited places for this project and places will go on a first come basis.

On 19th of Feb, 2.00-5.30 , @Landithy Hall, Church Road, Madron, Penzance. TR20 8SN Cost £2. For ages 8-15. 5-7 year olds are welcome with an adult. Family and friends are invited to watch the show at 4.45.

Swapping Shaddows

Cirque du Ciel has started this exciting project combining the intergenerational talents of Calstock Primary School children and mainly elderly writers from The Calstock Writers Group. It will give both a chance to work in small groups, swap memories and to get to know each other.

After a combination of writing and art workshops, pupils and their older counterparts will develop and practise a shadow puppet show. This will be performed @ Calstock School and to the general public on Thursday March 17th  @ Calstock Arts (the old Poet’s Chapel) between 6.30-7.30. Entrance by donation. There will be a stalls selling tea / coffee.

This project has been funded by FEAST. FEAST stirs imaginations and sparks inspiration across Cornwall. We enable creative and cultural activity to be seen and invested in as part of the very fabric of healthy and dynamic communities.
